IS NOT HALF AS BAD AS WHAT THE TEAHADIST REPUBLICANS HAVE BEEN SAYING FOR ALL OF HIS PRECIDENCY
If you turn the tortilla around, had it been a right-wing pundit the celebration and the support he/she would have gotten would have been astronomical. In this case as in all cases when liberal-progressives say something off-key, the Republicans get away with impunity while the Democrats get hell for it.
Of course, it is not surprising since Ed Shultz is a thorn on the side of Republicans for telling it like it is and you figure that General Electric who owns part of the network that hosts the show has gotten some very bad press lately for not paying their fair share of taxes.
If you missed his on-air rant, here’s what he said:
“President Obama is going to be visiting Joplin, Mo., on Sunday, but you know what [Republicans are] talking about, like this right-wing slut, what’s her name? Laura Ingraham? Yeah, she’s a talk slut. You see, she was, back in the day, praising President Reagan when he was drinking a beer overseas. But now that Obama’s doing it, they’re working him over.”
I hate vitriol from either side and Ed Shultz was out of line on this one. However, one could say that “slut” here does not have sexual connotations as it is a fact that Laura Ingraham has been prostituting her principles to the higher bidder for years; sadly, she knows better and is in complete complicity with the very rich and big business special interests realizing that she is hurting the country by doing it.
In this case, what is good for the goose is not good for the gander.

I don't think he is out of line at all. While many people consider slut a bad word, it's no worse than death panels. And calling her a talk slut is far more accurate than calling the ability to discuss your end of life choices with your doctor a death panel. I mean talk about media whoring! Repubs are famous for it. Truth is, they can dish it out, but they can't take it.
ReplyDeleteWhen called on serious questions, they wave the flag around and call you anti-American. In my opinion, that's the epitome of what a talk slut is.
