QUESTION FOR REPUBLICANS: DO YOU BETRAY YOUR PARTY OR DO YOU BETRAY YOUR COUNTRY?

At the last minute, when you are in that voting booth, you’re going to have second thoughts.

Even though you have been given the facts you have chosen to ignore them, you are aware of Mitt Romney’s and the Republican’s total disconnect with what and who you are. You might be a little better off financially than most people but you do know there are millions out there suffering…all as a result of failed economic policies and deregulation…yet you also know that the Republicans and Mitt Romney are proposing more of the same…only on steroids.

It doesn't bother you that Romney is immensely wealthy and you even believe that those who criticize him are just jealous...but you have your doubts about this Bain Capital debacle and whether it is legitimate or ethical free enterprise.

You have heard about the Ryan Economic Plan and you are not quite convinced that it would not be disastrous for the economy…after all; most reputable economists have voiced their opposition to it. You are puzzled by how Congress has voted against legislation they once proposed…you actually see the no votes on everything and you are even questioning if it is not sabotage on the part of Republicans…but hey, what difference does that make if the end result is to get Obama evicted from the White House…right?

You know better than anyone else that your fellow Republicans really resent the President because he is black…you are not a racist so you can see right through their motivation. You have a close relative or a dear friend who is gay and they are exemplary and honorable…you really don’t have a beef against them except what the Evangelicals tell you…so the equality issue is not your cup of tea…you just don’t care one way or another what people do in the bedroom.

You have also taken notice of how relentless these pro-lifers are and how they want to deprive women their sovereignty over their bodies and even deny them other types of health care…you have a wife, a mother and daughters…you think they are being targeted and on top of that you also know they earn less than men.

You are also very troubled with all this voter disenfranchising that has been going on across the country because you truly believe in democratic participation and you think that voting ought to be made easier, more convenient…not the opposite. You also realize that they are not telling the truth that the Republicans are doing this because they want to prevent voter fraud…you know damn well it is to keep those who are likely to vote democrat out of the voting booth…and yet you are there voting yourself.

Sure you have seen the figures and the charts…you noticed that the economy and everyone does better under Democratic administrations including the very wealthy who seem to do ten times better than the rest of us.

You are somewhat troubled by Mitt Romney’s gaffs and his disconnect with the American people…you do, you see it but have chosen to ignore it…you have been on denial.

So you are in that voting booth and you ask yourself “Do I really want this man for President and this Party to lead us to ruin? Who will you betray…your party or your country? Will you help make him emperor?
